Description
With over 350 unique grape varieties, Italian wine is famous for its rich diversity. Some of the country’s best wines are undoubtedly those made from the Nebbiolo grape. Named after the fog that covers the vineyards in October, the acclaimed Nebbiolo grape variety is grown in Piedmonte (which literally translates as the ‘foot of the mountain’) and used for Barolo and Barbaresco wines. With the Valtellina Valley just over an hour away from Lake Como, why not explore this beautiful part of the world and learn about its internationally famous wines? Join us on this guided day tour to the wine valley that includes tastings at two wineries and a local lunch (naturally with a glass of wine).
